Why creators trust CommentlySense for YouTube giveaways
Running a giveaway builds excitement and rewards loyal subscribers. However, manual winner selection or uncontrolled raffles often result in spam bot winners or accusations of bias. Here is how our picker protects your creator reputation:
Duplicate Entry Immunity
Our system filters duplicate comments from the same account so that every viewer receives exactly one fair raffle ticket.
Verifiable Winner Receipt
Generate a clean, copyable certificate with timestamp, total entries, and rule details to pin in your video comments as indisputable proof.
Backup / Substitute Winners
Automatically select 1 or 2 alternate winners in advance so you have a verified backup if the primary winner does not claim their prize.
3 Essential YouTube Contest Rules Every Creator Must Follow
To remain in good standing with YouTube's official Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, always adhere to these rules when hosting a giveaway:
YouTube strictly prohibits requiring payment, purchases, or donations to enter a contest (no pay-to-win lotteries).
Include a link to your official contest rules in your video description, stating eligibility, entry dates, and prize terms.
Clearly state that YouTube is not a sponsor and viewers release YouTube from any liability regarding the giveaway.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does this YouTube comment picker filter duplicate users?
When 'Filter Duplicate Users' is enabled, our algorithm indexes comments by unique viewer channel IDs and handles. Even if a subscriber posts 50 comments, they are only entered into the raffle exactly once, ensuring complete fairness for all participants.
Can I filter comments by a specific hashtag or secret word?
Yes. Use the 'Require Specific Keyword / Hashtag' rule (for example, #giveaway or a contest answer). The picker will automatically exclude any comments that do not contain your required phrase.
Is this YouTube comment picker free without signup?
Yes! CommentlySense's YouTube Comment Picker is 100% free to use. You do not need to register an account, install browser extensions, or connect your Google channel permissions.
How can I prove to my subscribers that the giveaway was fair?
After each draw, click 'Copy Winner Certificate'. It creates a structured timestamped record detailing the video title, total comments scanned, total unique entries, the winning commenter's handle and quote, and the exact draw timestamp. You can paste this directly into your pinned comment or YouTube Community tab as transparent proof.
Does this picker work with YouTube Shorts?
Yes, you can paste any YouTube Shorts link (e.g. youtube.com/shorts/<id>) or standard video link. The tool extracts all public comments seamlessly.
